Incredible morning on Mt. Hood
I just started the work day in the most awesome way.
Last night I skied for 2 hours up from the end of the road to a cabin at 6,000' on Mt. Hood. I slept there and then woke up to watch the sunrise, soaked up some rays and then skied down and drove to work. Perfect.
If you ever get the chance you should ski or hike up to look at Cloud Cap It is a big old cabin built back in the 1890's by a friends great grand-father. Currently it is owned by the Forest Sevice but the custodians are a Hood River mountain rescue volunteer group called the Crag Rats. We went up last night to do some light maintenence and scored a beautiful evening.
