If you have ever been to Maui and driven past Paia on the north shore then you have seen Hookipa . It is the ultimate wave to sail for most windsurfers. It's big, has a small steep beach to launch off, and nasty lava rocks right downwind to punish you for your mistakes. It is also the host site for the final windsurfing event most every year; called The ALOHA CLASSIC.  The event is on right now and you can follow it here:

 It takes guts too launch at Hookipa but here is 9 year old Wiley Daniels in the amateur event. Wow.
