Free Ride boards are the latest rage in designs. Also
considered "all-around" boards because of their
versatility. They perform great in a huge variety of
conditions from sails up to 7.5 meters all the way down to
5.0's. For most conditions around the country, the free-ride
range of boards is perfect. The boards get up on a plane
easily, jibe
smoothly, and jump well. These boards work great for the
following sailors:
- Someone who is just learning their waterstarts, jibes, and
jumps; or just getting their feet in the footstraps.
- Someone who is an experienced sailor, who wants a board that
will be great for just cruising around on in a variety of wind
conditions
Bic Boards:
Bic boards have an ASA/fiberglass/epoxy
skin, with an EPS
core which makes them stiff and reasonably light. This
combination skin makes them more durable.
Angulo, RRD, Quatro Boards:
All are known as high performance board manufacturers, built using top of the line materials (epoxy/fiberglass/Kevlar/carbon),
and sandwich
construction skin over a light weight EPS
core. These boards are among the strongest, stiffest, high
performance boards built today.
