Windance
Receives the "Fred Noble Golden Shovel" Award from
the CGWA
The Golden Shovel award is given to a person or group that
"really digs in" to contribute to the CGWA.
This year Windance received the award for it's contribution
to the Sport. The company's efforts include: signing
up new members as part of the 2003 Membership drive, running
a "gear
recycling" program to help new people get into the
sport by giving them gear that has been donated, and
offering a "Free
Windsurfing" program--letting people sign up to use
beginner gear for free all summer long. Also, Chris
Boston a long-time Windance employee won the membership
drive by signing up the most new members in 2003.
Windance owner, Brian Carlstrom was present at the September
6th award ceremony to accept the award. |
