Beaufort Wind Scale

Sir Francis Beaufort invented this empirical wind scale in 1805. If you don't have an Anemometer (wind meter) then you can learn how to judge how hard the wind is blowing by using the information in this table. If you want to be accurate then you can buy a wind meter.
