Hello Windsurfers,
Don't believe the rumors that there is no wind in Baja during El Nino winters. Ten of the past 11 days have been 4.2 to 4.7, and with the Santa Anna's blowing in Southern California there is no end in sight...that's why 9 pm is considered "Baja Midnight"; the campground has been pretty quiet after dark these days. According to my count December saw 24 sailable days, which is a respectable average for any windsurfing site. The water temps have dipped to 70, but the weather has been sunny and warm since the cool spell we experienced during Christmas. We are entering the peak season for the next month and the campground is cozy, which means it's full. It seems that every time someone left the past few days; two new campers were ready to fill their spot.

The new 2003 Ezzy SE is receiving rave reviews by the test sailors who have been out on the Sea of Cortez riding the swells created by the winter north winds. The two comments I hear the most are, "I can't believe how light they are" and, "the range is unbelievable, what a comfortable ride". If you are headed down, stop by for a test ride.

Take care, sail safe, Gary
