Wind and Enthusiasts Arrive in La Ventana

The first week of November brought the arrival of the winter season El Nortes, along with a major influx of wind enthusiasts from northern latitudes.  Today marks the eleventh straight day of sailable wind, which is a special treat for everyone who arrived early this season hoping for wind in October (one sailable day all month).  The campground is filling up fast with new people arriving everyday.  There is still plenty of room in the center, back row, and north arroyo.

If you are coming to La Ventana this season I brought down the new 2004 Ezzy SE along with some great boards from RRD for everyone to demo.  Check out a few of the locals (picture) that are already testing the last gear.  The early feedback on the new SE is that it has even more low end power, but still has the incredible range that we have come to expect from all Ezzy sails.  The wind looks like it’s here to stay, so be sure to pack the Advil.
