Rigging area: Rig along the bluff by your car, and carry your stuff to the water.
Launch: Gravel and sand. Watch out for large submerged boulders towards the prison end of the launch.
Parking/Camping: Park along the road heading eastbound. Do not try to turn across traffic from westbound lanes. Turn around at the prison entrance or at Larkspur Landing shopping center and ferry terminal.

Warnings and hazards: Standard Safety Tips
Site specific:  Submerged rocks, quicky dying winds, and the best sailing is often a 1/2 mile from the launch. The western shore opposite the launch is flanked by very large, shallow mud flats. Do not land on prison grounds, or you will promptly be escorted off it.
One should always be aware of the local currents, tides and underwater obstacles.
