Infinity

David
Ezzy Explains
Like the Wave SE, the 2007 Infinity has radically more shape
built into the forward section of the sail. The Infinity’s deep,
draft-forward design makes it a very powerful flat-water sail. The
Infinity has two removable cams: one above and one below the boom.
With both cams installed this sail is a perfect free ride/slalom
sail.

The shape is forward which means the Infinity can be set with
an extremely deep draft for lighter winds without the back hand
getting loaded. Take the top cam out and use the Infinity with
just the lower cam to get the ease of rotation of a no-cam sail
without sacrificing the power and stability of a cambered sail.
Take both cams out and you have a great blasting sail for small
waves.
The Infinity utilizes the Ezzy
Universal Cam System, which fits any mast
diameter from a skinny to 15- year-old
standard diameter mast.
The Infinity utilizes Endo-Batten
Construction which means it doesn’t have
traditional batten pockets laid on top of the
sail panels. Instead, the batten is sandwiched
between the sail's panel layers providing the
same, symmetrical profile to the sail on both
starboard and port tack.
New Rigging Concept
The 2007 Infinity requires less downhaul tension. In fact if you
over-downhaul you kill the nice feeling. If you downhaul too
much you
remove a lot of the forward draft that is
built into the sail.
The Infinity has a huge outhaul range. The
more the outhaul range, the more the wind
range. It can be set as little as 0.5 cm for
light wind and up to 6.5 cm of positive
outhaul for stronger wind.

Other Refinements for 2007
New this year is the tack pulley. Our
pulley has vertical dividers that make
threading the rope faster and also reduces the
friction between the pulleys.

The Infinity will outlast the
other free ride or cam sails sold today. The
Infinity has no monofilm. It is made with our Spectra®
Reinforced "X" Film. In fact,
the Infinity has the same construction as the
Ezzy Wave SE, including a vinyl window that
can be cleaned and won’t scratch!
Last but not least, we have greatly enhanced
the colors for 2007. All of the new colors
are very noticeable on the water. Feedback has
been terrific.
