Design Features

• The 2020 Ezzy Hydra Sport is the 2^nd generation of foil sail from the master of design; Dave Ezzy.
• It has a lower center of effort by 12”-24” compared to wave sails largely due to the bigger foot batten
• This 2^nd generation foil sail has a much shorter batten than the original version (now called the Hydra Pro)
• The lower center of effort reduces the likelihood of getting thrown off-balance which is critical when foiling
• Low end power is massive on the Hydra Sport due to the larger foot which eliminates the need for cambers.
• The quicker de-power is due to the ¾ batten located just above the boom. This quick de-power allows you to maintain control faster.
• Reduced weight is due to a variety of Ezzy trcicks and it’s really noticeable when uphauling, rigging & sailing.
• It is also is dual purpose and works well when sailing on a normal finned board
