The Slingshot Complete Kite Valve is the original factory valve for Slingshot kites manufactured in 2015 and later. It is also compatible with Slingshot kites manufactured before 2015.
Slingshot Complete Kite Valves are standard for all Slingshot kites and wings and their design allows them to stay in place. You can quickly repair an older valve by peeling off the backing and sticking it on. You can also attach it to a brand new valve or attach it to a fresh new bladder by using this method. A wipe soaked in alcohol, detailed installation instructions, and all of the other components necessary to install the replacement valve are included in the kit.
The "Valve Patch Size" option allows users to customize the dimensions of the Tear-Aid patch that is permanently attached to the valve. While standard valves have a diameter of three inches, patches typically have a diameter of four inches. Because of the additional inch, the surface area of the patch is 77% larger than the standard size of a valve patch, and the adhesive base is 77% larger as well.
If either the valve is damaged when the old valve is removed from the bladder, then the patch is required to repair either the bladder or the valve. Because of the increased surface area that is provided by the valve patch, it is now possible to repair a bladder quickly and without experiencing any difficulties. As a result, there is no longer a need for an additional valve.
