Carbon Freeride Wing Foil Board

CORE Roamer Wing Foil Board

Stable starts, fast acceleration and responsive carbon performance across five carefully balanced sizes.

The CORE Roamer is an all-around wing foil board designed to make every stage of the ride feel natural. Its balanced length-to-width ratio provides reassuring stability at low speed, while the double-concave bottom, sharp-release rails and angled deck help it accelerate quickly onto foil. Once flying, the stiff carbon sandwich construction and compact outline deliver the direct control and low swing weight needed for carving, pumping and progressive freeride maneuvers.

  • 55L–130L Range
  • Carbon Sandwich Construction
  • Freeride & Progression
  • 90mm US-Box Tracks

Why You’ll Love It

Stable Before Takeoff

Balanced outlines and carefully distributed volume provide useful stability during water starts, even in the smaller Roamer sizes.

Quick Onto Foil

The double-concave bottom, angled deck and increased tail-kick angle help the board accelerate and respond efficiently to pumping input.

Forgiving Touchdowns

Sharp release rails and the shaped bottom help the Roamer move through brief water contact instead of catching abruptly in chop or during turns.

Direct Carbon Response

Stiff carbon sandwich construction transfers foot pressure quickly to the foil, giving the Roamer a precise feel during carving, pumping and transitions.

Technical Features

Balanced Aspect Ratio

Each size balances length and width to produce both low-speed stability and efficient forward acceleration. Even the compact sizes remain composed during water starts.

Double-Concave Bottom

The double-concave hull channels water efficiently for quick takeoffs while helping the board recover smoothly after an accidental touchdown.

High-Volume Concave Rails

Concave rail shaping redistributes volume for better balance and control. The sharply defined edges also release cleanly and provide added clearance during aggressive carving.

Angled Performance Deck

The slightly angled deck places the front foot higher for greater leverage, helping riders apply effective pressure during acceleration, pumping and foil control.

Increased Tail Kick

The raised tail angle improves the board’s response to pumping immediately before takeoff while providing additional clearance once on foil.

Carbon Sandwich Construction

A lightweight EPS core is wrapped in a stiff carbon sandwich with a durable PVC shell. The construction provides direct response while protecting against pressure points and water intrusion.

Adjustable Footstrap Inserts

Stainless steel inserts provide two straight rear-foot positions and six offset angled front-foot options, allowing riders to personalize their stance or ride strapless.

Extra-Long Foil Tracks

The 90mm US-Box track system offers an extended adjustment range for balancing different rider weights, foil sizes and plate-mount hydrofoil systems.

Which CORE Roamer Size Should You Choose?

Maximum Agility

Best for expert or lightweight riders seeking the smallest possible platform for freestyle, surf and strong-wind wing foiling. This will be a sinker for most riders.

Compact Performance

Suited to skilled lighter riders or experienced average-weight riders who want a compact, responsive sinker or near-neutral board.

Balanced All-Around

A versatile choice for intermediate-to-advanced riders who want a useful combination of stability, compact handling and carving response.

Progression and Freeride

Provides additional flotation and stability for progressing riders while retaining enough compactness for gybes, tacks and freeride maneuvers.

Maximum Stability

The largest and most forgiving Roamer. It suits newer riders, larger riders or anyone prioritizing easy starts and light-wind flotation.

Windance sizing tip: CORE does not publish exact rider-weight limits. As a practical starting point, beginners commonly choose board volume 20–40 liters above body weight in kilograms, intermediates approximately 10–20 liters above, and advanced riders may use near-neutral or negative volume.

Foil, Footstrap and Leash Compatibility

  • Extra-long 90mm US-Box tracks fit most standard plate-mount hydrofoils.
  • Compatible with CORE CFS foils and many other 90mm plate systems.
  • Two straight rear-foot insert positions.
  • Six offset angled front-foot insert positions.
  • Twin leash plugs are positioned toward the side of the board.
  • Balanced underside carry handle for transporting the board with or without a foil.
Foil mounting hardware and footstraps are sold separately. Always verify screw length and thread compatibility before installing a non-CORE foil plate.

Who Is the CORE Roamer For?

  • Beginner and progressing riders choosing the 110L or 130L sizes.
  • Intermediate freeriders wanting stable starts and responsive handling.
  • Advanced riders using the compact 55L, 70L or 90L sizes.
  • Riders focused on carving, pumping, gybes and tacks.
  • Strapped or strapless riders who want flexible stance positioning.
  • Anyone looking for a stiff carbon board with broad foil compatibility.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the CORE Roamer beginner-friendly?

The 110L and 130L are the most suitable options for newer riders. The smaller sizes are intended for experienced riders comfortable with lower-volume boards.

What foil systems fit the board?

The extra-long tracks use standard 90mm spacing and fit most compatible plate-mount hydrofoil systems.

Are footstraps included?

No. Stainless steel footstrap inserts are built into the board, but the straps and their mounting hardware are sold separately.

Does it include foil mounting hardware?

No. Foil track hardware is sold separately so riders can use the correct screw length for their chosen mast plate.

Is the Roamer a carbon board?

Yes. It uses a lightweight EPS core with a stiff carbon sandwich and durable PVC outer shell for a direct, responsive connection to the foil.

Is this the same as the Roamer S?

No. This is the original 2023 Roamer in 55L–130L sizes. The Roamer S is a separate, newer performance and midlength range with different shapes and dimensions.
