High-Modulus Original TITAN Carbon Foil Mast

F-One HM Carbon Mast 14 Monobloc – T1

A thin, efficient and responsive carbon mast for maximum glide, speed and control on F-One’s original TITAN foil system.

The F-One HM Carbon Mast 14 Monobloc – T1 is a premium hydrofoil mast designed for riders seeking lower drag, efficient pumping and precise control. Its thin 14 mm profile combines with a High Modulus M40J carbon layup to deliver excellent bending and torsional stiffness without requiring the thicker profile of a standard-carbon mast.

Built as a full Monobloc structure, the mast integrates its Twin-Tracks top plate and original TITAN mast foot into one pre-preg carbon component. This construction provides a rigid connection between the board and foil while eliminating separate mast-to-plate and mast-to-foot joints. It is especially well suited to downwind, surf, wing and kite foiling where speed, pumping efficiency and sustained glide are priorities.

Why Choose the HM Carbon Mast 14 T1?

Thin, Low-Drag Profile

The 14 mm profile reduces frontal area and hydrodynamic resistance compared with the 16 mm Carbon Mast. This supports easier acceleration, longer glide and more efficient pumping between waves or downwind bumps.

High Modulus M40J Carbon

F-One states that the High Modulus carbon fiber used in this mast is approximately 1.5 times stiffer than its regular carbon fiber. This allows the mast to remain thin while maintaining strong bending and torsional response.

Full Monobloc Construction

The integrated top plate, mast and original TITAN foot form one structural component. Removing separate connection points produces direct feedback and minimizes unwanted movement between the board and foil.

Length-Specific Layup

F-One adjusts the carbon layup for each mast length. This helps the shorter sizes remain light and responsive while giving the 95 and 105 cm versions the additional structural support required to manage greater leverage.

SPINE Internal Structure

An internal SPINE reinforces the mast for improved control. Lengthwise 0° carbon fibers support bending stiffness, while fibers oriented around 45° resist twisting during carving, pumping and powered riding.

Factory-Sanded Finish

The hydrodynamic surface is sanded at the factory for enhanced performance. Combined with the thin profile, this helps the mast move efficiently through the water across a wide speed range.

Sizes, Weights & Recommendations

Size Approx. Inches Official Weight Best For Why Choose It
75 cm 29.5 in 1.55 kg / 3.42 lb Prone surf, pumping, shallow locations and riders prioritizing minimum drag. The shortest option offers quick maneuverability, efficient starts and less wetted mast area. Choose it when compact handling matters more than maximum chop clearance.
80 cm 31.5 in 1.70 kg / 3.75 lb Surf foiling, downwind, pumping and everyday wing foiling. Developed specifically with surf performance in mind. It balances pumping efficiency and maneuverability with enough ride-height range for moderate chop and swell.
85 cm 33.5 in 1.85 kg / 4.08 lb All-around wing, kite and downwind foiling in varied open-water conditions. The most versatile size for many riders, combining strong glide with useful banking clearance and room to cross larger chop.
95 cm 37.4 in Not published by F-One Kite foiling, wind-powered speed, racing and large open-ocean conditions. Provides substantially more ride-height and banking clearance for experienced riders, but creates more leverage and requires greater control during starts and touchdowns.
105 cm 41.3 in Not published by F-One Specialized kitefoil racing, high-speed riding and riders who specifically require maximum mast length. The tallest option maximizes heeling and banking freedom in deep water. It is a specialist size rather than a general wing-foil recommendation.
Our recommendation: Choose 75 cm for compact prone and surf setups, 80 cm for surf and downwind efficiency, 85 cm for versatile wing and open-water riding, or 95–105 cm for experienced kitefoil and high-speed riders. F-One’s archived specifications list the 95 and 105 cm weights as TBC, so no estimated weights are shown.

HM 14 T1 vs. Similar F-One Masts

Mast Best For Why Choose It Primary Tradeoff
HM Carbon Mast 14 – T1
Maximum T1 Glide
Original TITAN riders prioritizing downwind efficiency, speed and pumping performance. The thin 14 mm profile and High Modulus layup provide the highest glide-focused performance in F-One’s original TITAN mast range. More expensive and less durability-focused than the 16 mm T1 mast.
Carbon Mast 16 – T1 Original TITAN riders seeking stiffness, direct feedback and a more accessible carbon option. The thicker profile uses regular carbon to achieve strong rigidity while offering an excellent balance of glide, durability and price. Slightly more drag and marginally less speed than the HM 14.
Modular Aluminum Mast Beginners, schools and riders wanting interchangeable lengths at the lowest cost. Affordable, durable and serviceable, with replaceable upper and lower connection parts. Heavier, less hydrodynamically efficient and less responsive than either Monobloc carbon mast.
HM Carbon Mast 14 – T2 Riders building a new TITAN 2 setup and wanting a premium all-around performance mast. Retains a 14 mm HM profile while adding F-One’s updated SPINE structure, revised top plate and stiffer TITAN 2 connection. Does not fit original TITAN foils.
UHM Carbon Mast 14 – T2 Larger or highly powerful TITAN 2 riders who prioritize maximum bending and torsional rigidity. UHM carbon provides greater structural stiffness and more locked-in control than the HM version. Higher price and unnecessary rigidity for riders who value a more balanced or forgiving response.
UHM Carbon Mast 12 – T2 Performance downwind and speed riders seeking F-One’s lowest-drag mast profile. The tapered 12 mm lower profile maximizes glide and hydrodynamic efficiency. Lower torsional stiffness than the UHM 14 and incompatible with original TITAN foils.
Why buy this mast? Choose the HM Carbon Mast 14 T1 if you already own original TITAN foil components and want the best combination of glide, speed and size selection for that system. Choose the Carbon Mast 16 T1 if durability and value matter more than reducing the last amount of profile drag.

Original TITAN Compatibility

Compatible Foils

The integrated lower mast foot fits F-One foil systems featuring the original TITAN connection slot. Confirm that the fuselage or Monobloc foil plane is a T1-generation component before ordering.

Board Compatibility

The integrated four-bolt top plate connects to foil boards using the common Twin-Tracks system. Confirm track spacing, track length and mounting-hardware requirements for your board.

Not TITAN 2 Compatible

Original TITAN and TITAN 2 use different lower connections. This mast does not connect directly to 2026 TITAN 2 foil components.

Cannot Be Converted

The original TITAN foot is permanently integrated into the carbon Monobloc structure. It cannot be removed and replaced with a TITAN Mast Foot V2.

Critical compatibility warning: This is the T1/original TITAN mast, references 77237-0710 through 77237-0714. It is not the visually similar 2026 HM Carbon Mast 14 – T2, whose references begin with 77267.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this the 2026 HM Carbon Mast 14?

No. This is the V1/T1 mast with the original TITAN connection. The 2026 version uses TITAN 2 and is not directly interchangeable.

Can this carbon mast be upgraded to TITAN 2?

No. Its TITAN foot is molded into the Monobloc structure. Only compatible modular aluminum masts can be updated by replacing their separate lower mast foot.

Why choose 14 mm instead of 16 mm?

Choose 14 mm when maximum glide, pumping efficiency and speed lead the decision. Choose 16 mm for a more affordable, durability-focused carbon mast with very similar overall rigidity.

Is HM the same as UHM?

No. HM means High Modulus, while UHM means Ultra High Modulus. UHM fiber is structurally stiffer but more expensive. This T1 mast uses F-One’s M40J High Modulus carbon, not UHM carbon.
