A windsurfing sail is kind of like the sail on a boat, but for windsurfing! It's the big, colorful part of the windsurfing setup that catches the wind and propels you across the water. Without a sail, you'd just be standing on your board, looking like a clueless dude from the "California Dreams" TV show.

Basically, the windsurf sail is like the engine of your windsurfing setup. It's attached to your windsurfing board by a mast and boom, and you hold onto the boom while you sail. You can adjust the size and shape of the sail to match the wind and water conditions and suit your riding style, kind of like how you might adjust the volume on your Walkman (remember those?).

Types of Windsurfing Sails For Sale

Note: Any sail type may be used in any location or condition and with any board but will deliver the best performance when sailed in the conditions it was intended for on a board that was also purpose-built for those conditions.
