Carbon Free-Surf Foil Board · Prone · Pocket Wing · K-Wing · Foil Assist
2026 F-One ROCKET FREE SURF CARBON Wing Foil Board
A narrow, lightweight foil board built to accelerate smoothly, release cleanly and carve with complete freedom once airborne.
The 2026 F-One ROCKET FREE SURF CARBON blends the glide of an elongated outline with the control and maneuverability of a compact surf foil board. Its narrow profile accelerates efficiently for prone, pocket-wing, K-Wing and foil-assist takeoffs, while the tapered nose, reduced thickness and balanced foot pressure keep it precise in flight. An ultra-light HD Foam Carbon Composite construction adds the stiffness and direct foil feedback demanded by committed carving and pumping.

Why You’ll Love It
Built to Carve
A tapered nose, narrow bottom outline and reduced thickness deliver the rail clearance and direct control needed to connect aggressive turns without unwanted water contact.
Fast, Smooth Acceleration
The elongated outline and straight rocker build speed efficiently, helping the board reach foil takeoff speed when using a paddle, pocket wing, K-Wing or foil assist.
Light and Reactive
HD Foam Carbon Composite construction keeps weight low and stiffness high for quick pumping response, precise pitch control and a lively feel through turns.
Controlled Touchdowns
Beveled rails reduce drag when the board reconnects with the water, helping riders recover without abruptly interrupting a carve or glide.
Balanced Foot Pressure
Carefully tuned rake, volume distribution and deck shaping create balanced front-to-back pressure for predictable pitch control during powerful turns.
Versatile Free-Surf Platform
Designed for prone surf foiling, pocket wings, K-Wings and foil assist, the FREE SURF CARBON also works for skilled wing foilers who prioritize carving over standing stability.
Technical Features
HD Foam Carbon Composite
High-density foam, glass and carbon fiber form a lightweight sandwich structure with strong resistance to heel pressure, everyday impacts and performance-level loading.
Carbon Twin-Tracks
Full-carbon tracks increase stiffness through the foil connection for more direct feedback, improved pumping response and precise control.
Narrow Elongated Outline
Length generates glide and acceleration while the narrow width reduces drag and keeps the board clear of the water through committed carves.
Beveled Rails
Angled rails minimize drag during touchdowns and provide extra clearance when the board is pushed onto its side through tighter turns.
Rear Step and Kicktail
The stepped tail frees water flow during takeoff, while the kicktail increases pumping amplitude and helps the board release more efficiently.
Reshaped Deck
The standing surface has been widened and refined to improve foot placement and usable stability without compromising the board’s narrow, surf-oriented outline.

Which Size Should You Choose?
5'2 — 47 L
The smallest, lightest and most compact size. Best for advanced prone foilers and lighter riders who prioritize minimal swing weight and maximum maneuverability.
5'5 — 52 L
A compact prone and powered free-surf option with slightly more glide and flotation than the 47 L while retaining an agile, low-volume feel.
5'8 — 59 L
A versatile prone, pocket-wing and powered-condition size for skilled riders who want efficient acceleration without moving to a longer midlength feel.
5'11 — 63 L
A balanced progression size for confident free-surf riders. It adds useful length for takeoff while staying thin, narrow and highly responsive in flight.
6'2 — 71 L
The first size with an integrated carry handle. A strong choice for lighter riders seeking more flotation or experienced riders moving into pocket-wing and K-Wing disciplines.
6'5 — 79 L
A versatile midrange size that combines extra glide and takeoff support with a narrow 19-inch width for carving and efficient pumping.
6'8 — 85 L
Adds flotation and acceleration for larger riders, lighter wind or smaller foil setups while preserving the FREE SURF’s narrow and maneuverable character.
6'11 — 91 L
The largest and most buoyant FREE SURF CARBON. It offers the easiest starts in the range but remains only 19.5 inches wide and still requires confident balance and takeoff technique.
This entire range is narrow—17.5 to 19.5 inches wide. Choose the FREE SURF CARBON when you already have reliable takeoff skills and value in-flight maneuverability. Riders prioritizing standing stability and easier starts should consider the ROCKET FREE DW or a wider wing-specific board.

Before You Buy
Not a First Wing Board
The narrow outline reduces drag and improves carving, but it provides considerably less side-to-side stability than a conventional beginner wing board.
FREE SURF or FREE DW?
Choose the FREE SURF for a nimbler, more responsive feel after takeoff. Choose the wider FREE DW when stability, flotation and easier starts are more important.
Carbon or Bamboo?
The Carbon construction is lighter, stiffer and more reactive when pumping. The bamboo version shares the same shape and program while offering a more economical construction.
Downwind Safety
Downwind foiling requires training, physical preparation, an appropriate leash, flotation, communication and outside assistance. Never attempt open-water downwinders alone.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the FREE SURF CARBON a wing foil board?
It can be wing foiled, but its narrow shape is primarily optimized for prone surf foil, pocket wing, K-Wing, foil assist and experienced free-surf riding.
Is it suitable for beginners?
It is more accessible than a compact prone-only board, but the narrow widths require developed balance and takeoff technique. Most first-time wing foilers should choose a wider board.
Does it have footstrap inserts?
Yes. Strap inserts are installed, but footstraps are not listed as included.
Which sizes have a carry handle?
The 6'2 / 71 L, 6'5 / 79 L, 6'8 / 85 L and 6'11 / 91 L have handles. The four smaller sizes do not.
What foils are compatible?
The 90 mm Carbon Twin-Tracks accept compatible foil masts with industry-standard four-bolt top plates.
What is the benefit of carbon tracks?
Carbon tracks stiffen the foil connection for more direct feedback, quicker pumping response and better control during hard carving.
How does it compare with the FREE DW?
The FREE SURF is thinner, narrower and more tapered for maneuverability. The FREE DW is wider and more stable, with a stronger focus on easy takeoffs and freeride comfort.
Is a board bag included?
A board bag is not listed among the standard package contents. Confirm current package details with Windance if a bag is required.
