2025 F-One ROCKET SUP DW Wing Foil Board

A stable, efficient downwind foil board combining easy paddle starts, dependable balance and exceptional light-wind glide.

The 2025 F-One ROCKET SUP DW is the most accessible board in F-One’s redesigned downwind range. Its longer, narrower shape creates the glide and acceleration needed for efficient paddle starts while boxy center rails, balanced volume and a recessed deck keep the board stable and intuitive. Designed for riders progressing into downwind SUP foiling, it also performs exceptionally well as a light-wind wing foil board and in small or non-breaking waves.

  • All Skill Levels
  • 100L–150L
  • 19.5"–22.5" Wide
  • Bamboo Deck Construction
  • 90mm Twin-Tracks

Why You’ll Love It

Accessible Downwind Stability

Boxy center rails, a parallel outline and carefully distributed volume provide a stable platform for paddling, waiting for bumps and recovering between takeoff attempts.

Efficient Paddle Starts

The long waterline and refined narrow shape generate speed with fewer paddle strokes, making it easier to build the momentum needed to lift onto foil.

Smooth Touchdown Recovery

A revised nose and double-step hull reduce resistance and help preserve speed when the board reconnects with the water.

Excellent Light-Wind Range

The same glide that supports paddle takeoffs makes the ROCKET SUP DW a highly efficient light-wind wing board when conventional shapes struggle to accelerate.

Technical Features

Parallel Outline and Boxy Rails

The parallel midsection and boxy central rails provide directional stability and usable standing support while allowing the board to remain relatively narrow and fast.

Double-Step Hull

One hull step sits ahead of the foil tracks and a second is positioned closer to the tail. Together they reduce drag during acceleration and create a cleaner water release.

Large Tail Kick

The raised tail helps prevent the back of the board from catching or plunging into the water while pumping toward takeoff.

Recessed Cockpit Deck

The cockpit-style deck lowers the rider’s center of gravity and brings the feet closer to the foil for more intuitive balance and direct control in flight.

Bamboo Deck Construction

A bamboo reinforcement layer on the deck balances low weight, strength and durability while retaining responsive feedback from the foil.

Reinforced Rail Protection

Double rail savers and reinforcement around the rails and cockpit help protect high-contact areas from paddle strikes and everyday impacts.

How to Choose Your Size

For paddle-up downwind SUP foiling, F-One recommends selecting volume according to body weight and experience:

Rider Level Recommended Volume Recommended Width Selection Guidance
Beginner At least body weight in kg + 40 L 20"–22.5" Favor the wider 110L–150L sizes for standing stability and easier paddle starts.
Intermediate Approximately body weight in kg + 30 L 20"–22.5" Choose enough flotation for local conditions while balancing length against maneuverability.
Advanced Can select less surplus volume 17"–20" The 7'0 and 7'2 provide a more responsive ride for lighter or experienced riders.
Shorter sizes are more maneuverable in windy locations with slow, steep and closely spaced bumps. Longer sizes provide more glide for light wind, rounded bumps and faster-moving ground swell.

Size-by-Size Ride Guide

Size Best Suited To Ride Character
100 L Lighter intermediate or advanced riders The most compact and responsive size, with a narrower 19.5" platform.
110 L Lighter progressing riders or average-size advanced riders A useful balance of glide, maneuverability and accessible 20" width.
120 L Average-size beginner-to-intermediate riders The versatile middle size with dependable flotation and a stable 21" stance.
135 L Larger riders or riders prioritizing stability Strong low-speed glide and standing support for learning or marginal conditions.
150 L Maximum flotation and light-wind performance The longest and widest option for larger riders, new downwinders and the lightest conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this suitable for new downwind riders?

Yes. It is F-One’s most accessible dedicated SUP downwind model. New riders should favor sufficient positive volume and one of the wider sizes.

Can it be used for wing foiling?

Yes. Its long waterline and efficient hull make it an excellent light-wind wing board. F-One says boards in its SUP DW range can get flying below 12 knots with a medium-size wing, depending on rider skill and equipment.

What foil mounts fit the board?

The 90mm twin-track system accepts industry-standard four-bolt foil mast plates and provides room to tune the mast position.

Does it have footstrap inserts?

F-One does not list footstrap inserts for this model. It should be considered a primarily strapless downwind and light-wind foil board.

Are board weights available?

Not yet. F-One currently lists the manufacturer weight of every size as TBC.

Is a board bag included?

F-One does not list a board bag as included with the bamboo ROCKET SUP DW. A suitable bag should be purchased separately.
