2025 F-One ROCKET SUP DW PRO Wing Foil Board

A narrow, fast-gliding downwind board for experienced riders chasing earlier takeoffs, smaller foils and responsive control.

The 2025 F-One ROCKET SUP DW PRO is built for experienced downwind riders who want more paddle speed and efficiency from a narrower board. Its parallel outline, refined volume distribution and double-step hull help it accelerate quickly, release cleanly and retain speed through touchdowns. Once airborne, the recessed deck and balanced shape provide direct foil control for pumping, carving and connecting bumps. It is also an efficient light-wind wing foil board and a capable option for small or non-breaking waves.

  • Experienced Riders
  • 17"–20" Widths
  • 90L–140L
  • Full Bamboo Construction
  • Downwind + Light-Wind Wing

Why You’ll Love It

Fast Paddle Acceleration

The narrow outline and long waterline generate efficient forward speed, helping experienced riders reach the takeoff speed required by smaller, faster foils.

Clean, Efficient Takeoffs

A refined nose, revised bottom and double-step hull reduce drag as the board accelerates and create a clean release before lifting onto foil.

Balanced and Predictable

Boxy center rails, a parallel outline and carefully distributed volume provide useful stability without compromising the speed advantages of the PRO’s narrow shape.

More Than a Downwind Board

Along with short-to-medium-period downwind runs, the ROCKET SUP DW PRO works well for light-wind wing foiling and catching small or non-breaking waves.

Technical Features

Narrow Parallel Outline

Widths from 17" to 20" reduce water resistance and promote speed, glide and quick acceleration while maintaining directional stability.

Double-Step Hull

One step sits ahead of the twin tracks while a second is positioned closer to the tail. Together they reduce drag, improve water release and limit speed loss during touchdowns.

High Tail Kick

The raised tail helps prevent the rear of the board from plunging into the water while the rider pumps to build takeoff speed.

Recessed Cockpit Deck

The pronounced recessed stance area lowers the rider closer to the foil for direct feedback, controlled front-to-back balance and confident in-flight handling.

Full Bamboo Construction

Bamboo veneers placed between fiberglass layers create a strong, durable and lightweight shell across the board while retaining responsive foil feedback.

Reinforced Rail Protection

Double rail savers and reinforced construction around the rails and cockpit help protect high-contact areas from paddle strikes and everyday impacts.

Dimensions are listed as length × width × thickness. F-One has not published final board weights and currently lists all seven sizes as TBC.

7'2 sizing note: F-One and Windance label this size as 17" wide, while the published metric width is 44.5 cm, which converts to approximately 17.5".

How to Choose Your Size

For paddle-up downwind foiling, F-One recommends choosing volume according to rider weight and experience:

Rider Level F-One Volume Guidance Width Guidance ROCKET SUP DW PRO Fit
Beginner At least body weight in kg + 40 L 20"–22.5" The PRO is generally too narrow; consider the standard ROCKET SUP DW.
Intermediate Approximately body weight in kg + 30 L 20"–22.5" Only the wider PRO sizes should be considered by riders with solid balance.
Advanced Can select lower surplus volume; F-One gives 90L for a 70 kg rider as an example 17"–20" This is the board’s primary target rider.
Length also matters. Shorter sizes are more maneuverable in slow, steep and closely spaced bumps. Longer sizes provide more glide for light wind, rounder bumps and faster-moving swell.

Size-by-Size Ride Guide

Size Best Suited To Ride Character
90 L Lighter, highly experienced riders Fastest rail-to-rail response and the most demanding balance requirement.
95 L Lighter advanced riders wanting more support Maintains a very narrow feel with slightly more volume and glide.
102 L Advanced riders seeking a performance-oriented middle size A responsive balance of speed, usable flotation and maneuverability.
110 L Average-size advanced riders A versatile combination of acceleration, glide and manageable 18.5" width.
120 L Larger advanced riders or lighter riders wanting more flotation Additional support while retaining a narrow, performance-focused outline.
130 L Larger riders and lighter-wind conditions More glide and flotation with a still-responsive 19.5" width.
140 L Maximum flotation or the largest experienced riders The most stable PRO option and the strongest choice for marginal wind and long glide.

Compatibility and Intended Use

Foil and Equipment Compatibility

  • Twin-track system for plate-mount foil masts
  • Designed to work efficiently with smaller, faster foil wings
  • Integrated carry handle on every size
  • Footstrap inserts are not listed by F-One

Best Conditions

  • Short-to-medium-period downwind bumps
  • Light-wind wing foil sessions
  • Flat-water paddle starts for experienced riders
  • Small and non-breaking waves
The narrower PRO shape sacrifices some accessibility for additional speed and glide. Riders learning to paddle onto foil should generally consider the wider standard ROCKET SUP DW before moving to the PRO.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a beginner downwind board?

No. The 17"–20" widths require good balance and are intended primarily for experienced downwind riders. F-One recommends wider 20"–22.5" boards for beginners and intermediates.

Can it be used for wing foiling?

Yes. Its exceptional glide and early-release shape make it highly effective for light-wind wing foiling, especially for riders comfortable on narrow boards.

How does it differ from the standard ROCKET SUP DW?

The PRO is narrower and faster, providing greater acceleration and responsiveness while requiring more balance and technical ability.

How does it differ from the COMP?

The PRO is optimized for short-to-medium bumps and provides more stability. The longer, narrower COMP targets expert riders, racing and fast, long-period ocean swell.

Are final board weights available?

Not yet. F-One currently lists the weight of every 2025 ROCKET SUP DW PRO size as TBC.

Does the bamboo model include a board bag?

F-One does not list a board bag as included with this bamboo model. The foil, paddle, leash, safety equipment and wing are also sold separately.

Downwind Safety

Downwind foiling requires physical preparation, suitable safety equipment and support at sea. Use an appropriate leash, personal flotation device and visibility or signaling equipment. Never attempt a downwind run alone or without proper training and a route plan.
