Rigid Beginner Wing Foil Board · Stable · Softskin · School Friendly
North Seek Prime Wing Foil Board
A durable, forgiving learn-to-wing platform built to make balancing, taxiing and first foil takeoffs more approachable.
The North Seek Prime is a purpose-built beginner wing foil board with the flotation, width and longer waterline needed for confident progression. Its rigid EcoLite construction uses bamboo reinforcement for stiffness, then wraps the deck and rails in forgiving EVA Softskin. The result is a stable learning platform with fewer hard edges, making it especially well suited to novice riders, schools, clubs and families.

Why You’ll Love It
Confidence-First Stability
Generous volume and width create a steady platform for knee starts, standing, taxiing and learning how to control the wing before takeoff.
Forgiving Softskin Exterior
Soft EVA wraps the deck and rails, reducing exposed hard edges and making repeated climbs, knee starts and beginner falls more comfortable.
Earlier Takeoffs
A longer waterline builds speed efficiently and helps the board release onto foil without requiring the refined pumping technique of a smaller performance board.
Fast Foil Setup
North’s patented DropBox system lets you insert the T-nuts from the enlarged track openings, slide the foil into position and tighten the included hardware.
Built for Lessons and Families
Durable construction, high flotation and a nose tow point make the Seek Prime a practical platform for instructors, clubs and households sharing one learning board.
Strapless or Strapped
Learn strapless for natural foot positioning, then use the integrated footstrap inserts when you want a more connected stance.
Technical Features
EcoLite Softskin Technology
North combines a lightweight rigid board structure with a soft EVA exterior, producing a durable learning board without the exposed hard rails of a conventional composite shape.
Bamboo-Reinforced Laminate
Thin bamboo veneer layers improve overall stiffness, rigidity and impact resistance while helping keep board weight manageable.
Longer Waterline
The extended outline improves low-speed glide and acceleration, helping novice riders build the board speed needed for takeoff.
High-Traction EVA Deck
The padded deck provides comfortable grip for kneeling and standing while cushioning the repeated starts that are part of learning.
DropBox Foil Mount
The track system is compatible with industry-standard 165 × 90 mm foil mast plates and is supplied with four M8 bolts and four T-nuts.
Instructor Tow Point
A dedicated attachment point at the nose allows qualified instructors to use towing exercises as part of the learning process.
Board Sizes and Full Dimensions

Board weights are approximate published specifications with a manufacturing tolerance of ±10%. Metric dimensions are rounded conversions from North’s imperial measurements.
Which Size Should You Choose?
6'4 — 138 L
North recommends the 138 L for novice riders under 85 kg / 187 lb. It offers substantial flotation while remaining easier to carry, control and progress with than the larger 168 L.
6'10 — 168 L
North recommends the 168 L for novice riders over 85 kg / 187 lb. The additional length, width and volume provide maximum stability for bigger riders, schools and complete beginners.
North’s rider-weight guidance is a starting point, not an absolute limit. A lighter first-time rider may still prefer the 168 L in gusty wind or chop, while an athletic rider with previous board-sports experience may be comfortable on the 138 L.

Before You Buy
Rigid, Not Inflatable
Although the deck and rails have a soft EVA exterior, the Seek Prime is a rigid foil board. It does not deflate or pack into a travel bag.
Choose Stability First
A first wing board should provide enough flotation to make kneeling, standing and taxiing repeatable. Avoid downsizing simply because you expect to progress quickly.
Prime Means Progression
The Seek Prime is optimized for novice accessibility, durability and comfort. More experienced riders focused on waves, jumping or tighter turns may prefer a smaller performance-oriented Seek.
Confirm Foil Compatibility
The included hardware fits the DropBox tracks, but always confirm that your foil mast plate uses 165 × 90 mm spacing and accepts the supplied M8 bolts.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Seek Prime good for beginners?
Yes. It was specifically designed for novice riders, schools, clubs and families, with generous flotation, a longer waterline and a forgiving Softskin exterior.
Is the Seek Prime inflatable?
