Slingshot UltraFly V1 Wing Foil Board

A lightweight inflatable foil board that combines easy transport with faster release, low swing weight and genuine progression potential.

The Slingshot UltraFly V1 is made for wing foilers who want an inflatable board without giving up responsive handling or clean takeoffs. Its Rapid Release tail is designed to reduce the sticky feeling associated with conventional inflatable hulls, while the AeroSlim frame, extended foil tracks and low swing weight create a more connected ride. Three sizes cover progressing riders, travelers and beginners who value easy storage without moving to an oversized learning board.

Why You’ll Love It

Clean, Efficient Takeoffs

The Rapid Release tail helps separate water from the board instead of allowing it to wrap around the rails and tail, reducing drag during acceleration and takeoff.

Low Swing Weight

Board weights start at just 11.55 pounds, making the UltraFly easy to reposition during starts and less demanding through transitions and turns.

Packable Performance

Deflate the board for easier vehicle storage, boat access or air travel while retaining the foil tracks, deck grip and strap options expected from a dedicated wing board.

Stable Without Feeling Oversized

The 27.5- to 28-inch widths provide useful stability while keeping the outline compact enough for progression beyond the first few sessions.

Strapless or Strapped

Learn strapless, use two straps with an offset front-foot position or install a three-strap configuration using the threaded deck inserts.

Forgiving and Durable

Inflatable construction provides a softer surface during falls, while hard rubber edges protect high-wear areas during transport and everyday use.

Technical Features

Rapid Release System

A defined 90-degree edge at the tail interrupts water flow around the board, helping the hull release cleanly instead of feeling stuck to the surface during takeoff.

AeroSlim Frame

Slingshot’s progressively tuned inflatable frame is designed to keep the rider-to-foil connection compact and responsive while preserving the required flotation.

Extended Foil Tracks

Long foil tracks provide a broad adjustment range, making it easier to fine-tune mast position for different foils, rider weights and stance preferences.

Hard Rubber Edges

Reinforced edges help create a defined release profile while protecting the board from common bumps during launching, boats, travel and storage.

Three-Quarter Deck Pad

The padded standing area delivers dependable grip and comfort while leaving unnecessary material—and weight—off the forward section of the board.

Multiple Carry Handles

Handles on the top and bottom make it easier to carry the board, manage an attached foil and move through shallow water.

Board Sizes and Full Dimensions

Metric dimensions and weights are rounded conversions from Slingshot’s current imperial specifications.

Which Size Should You Choose?

105 L — 5'5 × 27.5"

The most compact and responsive UltraFly. Choose it if you are a lighter rider, already have basic wing skills or want the lowest swing weight for travel and progression.

120 L — 5'7 × 28"

The all-around middle size. It balances useful flotation with manageable length and works well for progressing riders who want one inflatable board for regular sessions and travel.

140 L — 5'10 × 28"

The highest-volume choice for beginners, larger riders or anyone who prioritizes easier knee starts and additional flotation in marginal wind.

Choosing by Volume

Rider weight matters, but skill, water conditions and foil size are equally important. New riders should leave a comfortable positive-volume margin instead of downsizing aggressively.

Compatibility

  • Foil mounting: Adjustable twin tracks accept compatible plate-mount hydrofoils.
  • Track adjustment: Extended tracks provide a broad fore-and-aft mast-position range.
  • Footstraps: Threaded inserts support an offset two-strap or three-strap configuration.
  • Board leash: Includes a leash connector and tail D-ring; the leash itself is not listed as included.
  • Foil hardware: Track hardware is sold separately and must match the mast plate and board tracks.
  • Inflation pump: The included high-pressure pump has adapters for both SUP and wing inflation valves.

Before You Buy

A Dedicated Foil Board

Unlike Slingshot’s LTF learning board, the UltraFly does not include a center keel or rear fins for foil-free wing practice. It is designed to be ridden with a hydrofoil.

Inflation Matters

Correct pressure is essential for stiffness, takeoff and foil response. Follow the pressure printed on the board and use the included high-pressure pump.

Inflatable or Hard Board?

Choose the UltraFly for storage, low weight, durability and travel. A rigid composite board will still provide the most direct foil feedback and defined hull shaping.

Bring Foil Hardware

The board does not include track nuts or bolts. Confirm the correct thread, length, washer setup and mast-plate compatibility before your first session.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the UltraFly suitable for beginners?

Yes, particularly in the 140 L size. It is best for riders learning directly with a foil rather than those who want to practice wing handling with fins first.

Does the UltraFly include a foil?

No. A compatible plate-mount hydrofoil must be purchased separately.

Is foil-mounting hardware included?

No. Slingshot specifically states that foil-track hardware is sold separately.

Can I install footstraps?

Yes. The threaded inserts support an offset two-strap setup or a traditional three-strap arrangement. Footstraps are sold separately.

What does the Rapid Release tail do?

Its defined trailing edge helps water separate from the board during acceleration, reducing the sticky takeoff sensation common to round-edged inflatable boards.

Does it feel like a rigid foil board?

The stiff construction and release edges improve response, but an inflatable board still feels softer and more damped than a rigid composite board.

Is a pump included?

Yes. The supplied high-pressure pump includes adapters for both SUP-style and wing inflation valves.

Is a travel bag included?

A travel bag is not listed in Slingshot’s current package contents. Confirm with Windance if a bag is important to your setup.
