The Columbia River is waking up, and the stoke in Hood River is building. The days are getting longer, the water is calling, and soon the Gorge will be back in full force with wings and kites that line up the sky. The season ahead is shaping up to be a good one.

We catched up with local ripper and Windance ambassador to test out a few new toys in the water. Wylan Kaochari, a rising 17-year-old wing foiler who started his journey in 2023.

 

At just 142 lbs, Wylan is already dialing in his setup and taking full advantage of the light spring winds.
