Kiteboarding
Age 63 • Advanced
A longtime Gorge rider who combines decades on the water with an engineer's eye for equipment.
Hola, I'm Jeff, the dad in the family! A passionate kiteboarder based in the Pacific Northwest, I've spent much of my life on the Columbia River Gorge. Before kiteboarding, I windsurfed for more than 30 years throughout California and the Gorge.
About 10 years ago, my son Jordan wanted to learn to kiteboard, so I made the switch with him. What started as a father-and-son adventure became a family passion.
With half of our family from Barcelona, we spend more than a third of each year in Europe, riding destinations on both sides of the Atlantic. At home, I ride throughout the Gorge—from Stevenson and Beacon Rock to Hood River and Rufus—and enjoy trips to La Ventana, Maui, the Oregon Coast and Europe.
As a Windance Ambassador, I ride North Kiteboarding equipment, including the Atmos Pro and Reach kites, along with Mystic gear. As a retired engineering leader, I enjoy combining decades of engineering experience with decades on the water, sharing rider feedback and ideas with Windance, North and Mystic to help make great equipment even better.
For me, kiteboarding is about more than riding. It is about family, friends, travel, staying active and being part of a great community. I'm proud to represent Windance and follow a simple approach: keep progressing, keep exploring, help others enjoy the sport and never waste a good windy day.
Kiteboarding
Age 27 • Advanced+
An engineer and international rider focused on progression, community and new destinations.
Hello all, my name is Jordan Hendricks, and I'm from Camas, Washington, a small town close to Portland, Oregon, and within an hour of Hood River. As a Windance Ambassador, I ride North Kiteboarding equipment, including the Atmos Hybrid twintip and Reach kites, along with Mystic apparel and gear. I'm stoked to be part of this community and represent Windance around the world!
I'm the oldest brother in an international family of kiters. Outside the United States, I've kited in Mexico, Spain, Belgium and, most recently, Aruba. After completing graduate school at the University of Washington, I now work as an electrical engineer at Ford in the Miami and Fort Lauderdale area. I'm excited to use kiting as a way to explore the Caribbean, Latin America and South America.
My current kiteboarding goals are to become more consistent at landing double back rolls and inverted tricks, and to experiment with different grabs. Other tricks I aspire to learn include the dark slide, board-offs and riding blind.

Community • Progression • Stoke
A committed kiteboarder who brings positive energy and genuine enthusiasm to the water.
Hi, my name is Mickey, and I'm passionate about kiteboarding and everything that comes with life on the water. I love being part of the watersports community, sharing experiences with others and encouraging people to get outside, challenge themselves and have fun. Whether I'm riding, learning new skills or supporting fellow riders, I strive to bring positive energy and genuine enthusiasm to the sport.
I'm excited to represent Windance—the beating heart of Hood River's kiteboarding community—a shop and team that share those same values and are dedicated to growing the sport. It is an honor to represent a brand that has inspired riders for years while helping introduce even more people to the incredible kiteboarding community.
Windsurf • Kite • Wing
Hood River & beyond
A longtime wind sports rider following the wind, sun and big sends all year.
Born in the UK, I started windsurfing in 1983 at the age of 12, moving to kiting in 2009 then getting hooked on the wing foiling bug in 2023. Moving between Hood River in the summer, Sherman Island / Lake Mohave in the fall and La Ventana in the winter, I now chase full send stoke, the wind and sun full time, year round - easy to spot on and off the water, just look for the color red and fast big sends!
Foiling • Action sports
Columbia River Gorge
A Gorge rider and action sports photographer who loves creating on and off the water.
My name's Ukiah Gribble, I'm 17 and have lived in the gorge for most of my life. I'm a photographer and videographer of all things action and also love to participate in them too. My favorite gear to ride is the F-ONE. I really like the SK8 and I currently have a rocket wing board paired with the UHM 85cm Mast.
Wing foil racing
Columbia River Gorge
A passionate Gorge wing foiler focused on racing, local events and helping others.
Hi, I'm Kai Lederer from the Columbia River Gorge. I'm a passionate wing foiler with a strong focus on racing, and I regularly compete in local events while continuing to develop my skills on the water. When I'm not wing foiling, you'll usually find me sailing, fishing or helping others discover and enjoy the wing foiling community.
Wing foiling
Age 14 • Hood River & Baja
A young wing foiler who loves freestyle progression and having fun on the water.
My name is Izabella Trudeau, and I'm 14 years old. I spend my summers in Hood River, Oregon, and my winters in Baja, Mexico. I've been winging for about two years and have loved it. I'm into freestyle and simply having fun on the water.
Seattle & beyond
A long-distance wing foil explorer with a practical eye for equipment durability.
I'm active in the vibrant Seattle, Washington, wing foil community, and my current passion is long-distance exploration: Lake Washington, inland lakes, the Gorge—including the Hatchery—and La Ventana. I keep pushing my own limits and learning about equipment durability so I can share insights with the group. See you on the water!
