Choose the Orbit Ultra if you already have confident kite control and want the fastest, most direct and most performance-focused Orbit available. The smaller-diameter ALUULA airframe flies quickly through the wind window, sits farther forward and turns steering input into immediate acceleration. This gives advanced riders the speed and recovery required for powered megaloops, doubles and technical Big Air combinations.
Compared with the standard Orbit, the Ultra is faster, more reactive and more efficient, but it has a smaller margin for incorrect input. Compared with the Orbit Pro, the Ultra’s stiffer ALUULA frame allows an even thinner leading edge and struts, producing greater flight speed and a sharper, more connected feel.

- Loop power: More powerful and committed than the standard Orbit. The Ultra carries useful pull through the turn before climbing quickly into its catch.
- Bar pressure: Direct and communicative rather than feather-light. The rider receives clear positional feedback, especially when loading the kite for boosts or loops.
- Steering adjustment: Two Pro-Point rear-line positions allow a choice between lighter steering with more bar travel or firmer, more direct steering with a shorter depower stroke.
- Depower: The forward-flying profile and five-point bridle provide effective high-end control. The kite remains supported when sheeted out instead of surging unpredictably past the edge of the window.
- Relaunch: The Orbit Ultra supports conventional bridled-inflatable relaunch. However, North does not position it as a beginner-specific relaunch kite, and restarting a high-aspect performance kite becomes more technique-sensitive near the bottom of its wind range.

Who Is It Best For?
- Beginner progression: Not recommended as a first kite. The standard Orbit or Reach offers a larger margin for error and more relaxed handling.
- Freeride: Fast and efficient for powered twin-tip freeride, but more technical and expensive than necessary for relaxed cruising.
- Big Air: Its primary discipline. The Ultra is optimized for extreme vertical boosts, high-speed megaloops, doubles and competition-level tricks.
