Used Gear

At Windance, we love bringing you quality gear at affordable prices. Used gear is a great way to get into a new sport or try something different without breaking the bank. Used gear is also great for people who like to tinker and do their own maintenance and repairs, since used gear is typically less reliable and requires more maintenance than new gear.  

Windance sells used wind sports gear that is ready to ride. Our used gear comes from a variety of sources, including supplier warehouse clearance, unboxed items, demo and display items, and wind sports enthusiasts just like you who consign their gear with us.

Prices for most items automatically drop by 10% every 30 days. 

Free shipping is not available for used gear. 

We guarantee everything we sell is ready to ride

To ensure all of our used gear is ready to ride, every used item is screened before we take it in, inspected before we rate and list it, and inflatable items are inflate-tested before we ship the item. 

We recognize that pictures and descriptions don't capture everything, so we rate used equipment on a scale from A+ to C to help you understand our assessment of the relative quality of the item you are buying. 

Used Gear Condition Rating System


A+
  • Brand new, mint condition, may or may not be in original factory wrap but has never been used
  • No repairs

A
  • Great shape, been used once or twice, but practically new with perhaps a few scratches/wrinkles
  • No repairs

A-
  • Great shape, never been repaired. Nearly new, some scratches or dirt.
  • No repairs

B+
  • Good shape. Used a reasonable amount but well taken care of. May have some minor scratches, scuffs, dings, or dirt. 
  • No repairs

B
  • Used and in OK condition. Normal wear expected with regular use for the age of the item. Has some minor scratches, scuffs, dings, dirt, discoloration, or other minor cosmetic defects.
  • If repaired, done professionally and would not effect performance

B-
  • Fair condition but seen reasonable use. May be dirty
  • May have some minor repairs

C
  • Rougher shape but still works fine
  • Well used, likely has repairs or is dirty. Repair quality may be rougher or if professional, may be more extensive. 
  • Expect shorter remaining equipment life and higher ongoing maintenance requirements.

All ratings describe the relative condition of usable gear. No item sold at Windance requires repair before use. Windance does not sell gear that isn't ready to ride.

Buying used gear always carries some inherent risk. All sales of used gear within policy are final and returns are not accepted. However, if you have any issues, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We're here to help 7 days a week, year-round.
