The Legacy XT is Ezzy's 60% pre-preg carbon RDM mast. It offers the same bend curve and stiffness as the Hookipa 91%, with a higher weight and a more economical place in the Ezzy mast lineup.

Start with the mast recommendation for the sail you use most, then choose a Legacy XT Base size that fits your setup.
2. Select your Top
Choose a matching Top for a standard setup, or a longer Top when Ezzy recommends a mixed-size combination for your sail.
Mix-and-match guidance: Choose matching labeled sizes, or a shorter Base with a longer Top when recommended for your sail. Check your sail specifications and Ezzy's Mast Mix and Match Chart before choosing different sizes. The completed length and bend of a mixed combination can differ from either section's labeled size.
Why choose the Legacy XT?
60% pre-preg carbon
Ezzy pre-saturates the fibers with resin, wraps them around a mandrel and thermally cures the sections for a controlled resin-to-fiber ratio.
Thick-wall RDM construction
Ezzy credits its skinny mast's strength to walls that are 50% thicker. The reduced diameter also makes the mast easier to handle through jibes.
Same bend as the Hookipa
The Legacy XT shares the Hookipa's constant-curve bend and stiffness. Choose it for value, or the lighter Hookipa when reducing rig weight is your priority.
Interchangeable Ezzy sections
Legacy XT Tops and Bases work within Ezzy's mix-and-match system and are compatible with Hookipa sections. Follow the recommended combination for your sail.
This bundle contains Legacy XT Top and Base sections. To combine a Legacy XT half with a Hookipa half, choose individual sections from the Legacy XT and Hookipa product pages.

What if I only need one mast half?

Is the Legacy XT softer than the Hookipa?
No. Ezzy confirms that the Legacy XT 60% and Hookipa 91% have the same bend curve and stiffness. The Hookipa is lighter.
What type of mast extension do I need?
Use a skinny/RDM mast extension. If you have an existing extension, check whether the correct conversion parts are available for it.
Do the table weights apply to mixed sizes?
