Why Choose This Wing?
High Performance Without the ALUULA Price
The standard STRIKE V5 delivers much of the same fast, forward-driving character as the ALUULA version using F-One’s durable HITEX polyester airframe. It is the better-value choice for most performance freeriders.
Smooth Forward Power
The STRIKE’s “Going Forward” character creates smooth traction and efficient acceleration. Power feels progressive and controlled, helping the rider pump onto foil without excessive side pull.
Speed and Upwind Efficiency
A stiff frame and controlled aerodynamic profile help the wing accelerate, maintain its shape and point high into the wind. It is particularly rewarding for riders who enjoy powered freeriding and long upwind runs.
Freestyle Capability
Rapid acceleration, strong pop and sustained hangtime make the STRIKE V5 a capable freestyle wing. Its balanced rotation helps the wing move naturally through jumps and aerial maneuvers.
Performance by Riding Style
| Riding Style | Suitability | How It Rides |
|---|---|---|
| Performance Freeride | Excellent | Smooth forward pull, fast acceleration and efficient upwind performance for riders who enjoy covering distance. |
| Freestyle | Excellent | Strong pop, good hangtime and easy wing rotation support jumping and freestyle progression. |
| Speed and Upwind | Excellent | The stiff HITEX structure and controlled trailing edge help the wing remain stable and efficient at speed. |
| Wave Riding | Very Good | Light and maneuverable enough for waves, although the more compact SWING is F-One’s better dedicated wave and freefly option. |
| Beginner Progression | Intermediate Focus | Stable and intuitive for an improving rider, but its stiff, fast character is less forgiving than the softer F-One ORIGIN. |
| Light Wind | Good | Efficient pumping and an excellent planing start, but the ORIGIN offers softer low-end power and the STRIKE CWC is the dedicated light-wind model. |
| Racing | Very Good | Speed and upwind efficiency suit performance riding and informal racing, although this is not a race-only wing. |
Key Construction and Performance Features
Sweep Control Panel
A continuous reinforced panel extends from wingtip to wingtip, supporting the front of the leading edge and controlling rearward deformation. This maintains trailing-edge tension for better stability, speed and upwind performance.
HITEX Airframe
F-One’s high-tenacity polyester airframe material provides strong resistance to stretching and dependable shape retention. Heavier 178g HITEX supports the center strut and center of the leading edge, while lighter 158g material is used toward the tips.
Revised Aerodynamic Profile
The V5 profile improves efficiency and comfort near the top of the wind range while preserving an excellent planing start and the STRIKE’s characteristic forward traction.
Radial Panel Cut
Radial panel alignment manages load direction and minimizes unwanted deformation, helping the wing maintain a clean and stable aerodynamic shape.
Revised Strut Connection
An updated connection between the center strut and leading edge increases structural stability and improves control when riding powered or pointing upwind.
TECHNOFORCE Canopy
The TECHNOFORCE polyester canopy uses a dense, tear-resistant weave selected for its dependable balance of durability and low weight.
Standard STRIKE V5 vs. STRIKE V5 ALUULA
| Feature | STRIKE V5 | STRIKE V5 ALUULA |
|---|---|---|
| Airframe Materials | High-tenacity HITEX polyester inflatable structure. | Strategic 103g ALUULA in the center strut and Sweep Control Panel, combined with HITEX elsewhere. |
| Stiffness | Stiff, responsive and performance-oriented. | Stiffer and more immediate, especially during pumping, acceleration and powered riding. |
| Weight and Drag | Optimized conventional construction with competitive weight and durability. | Thinner ALUULA center strut reduces drag and lowers weight across most shared sizes. |
| Power Delivery | Smooth forward traction with slightly more flex and comfort. | Crisper and more direct power transfer. |
| Speed and High End | Fast, stable and efficient for most performance riders. | Greater responsiveness, acceleration and high-end control for demanding riders. |
| Freestyle | Excellent pop, hangtime and rotational handling. | Maximum pop and reduced swing weight for advanced freestyle. |
| Best Reason to Choose It | Better value with versatile, high-level performance. | Choose when maximum stiffness, response and premium construction matter more than price. |
Which F-One Wing Should You Choose?
| F-One Model | Best For | Choose It Instead When... |
|---|---|---|
| STRIKE V5 | Performance freeride, jumping and freestyle | You want a fast, stiff and efficient wing with strong performance and better value than ALUULA construction. |
| STRIKE V5 ALUULA | Maximum speed and premium freestyle performance | You want lower drag, greater stiffness, sharper response and reduced weight across most sizes. |
| SWING V5 | Wave riding, carving and freefly | You prioritize compact handling, effortless flagging and smooth wave control over maximum speed and pop. |
| ORIGIN | Beginners, relaxed freeride and easy low-end power | You want softer power delivery, more flex and the most forgiving handling in the F-One range. |
| STRIKE CWC | Dedicated light-wind wing foiling | Your priority is early takeoff and efficient pumping in marginal wind with a larger wing. |

Handles or Boom?
The STRIKE V5 uses F-One’s interchangeable control system and is sold without handles. Choose separate handles or the Carbon Boom V2 to customize the wing’s feel.
Soft Handles
The lightest and most forgiving option. Soft handles are comfortable, easy to pack and well suited to relaxed freeriding and freefly.
Hybrid Handles
A rigid base maintains shape while the soft grip remains comfortable. This is a balanced option for direct control without a completely rigid feel.
Hard or Carbon Handles
Rigid handles create a direct connection for precise pumping, powered freeriding and freestyle. Carbon handles reduce weight compared with standard hard handles.
Carbon Boom V2
The boom allows continuous hand placement and fast repositioning through transitions and tricks. It is an excellent choice for freestyle and riders who prefer maximum hand-placement freedom.
