2026 F-ONE KEAHI PRO Kite Surfboard

A dedicated high-performance wave board with the speed, grip and control to attack everything from small onshore waves to fast, powerful reef breaks.

Developed with four-time World Champion Keahi de Aboitiz, the 2026 F-ONE KEAHI PRO is built for riders who want an authentic surfing experience with a kite in their hands. Its elongated nose, wide squash tail, rear-focused volume and tight rocker combine smooth planing with the drive, precision and fast direction changes needed for critical wave riding.

The board has a distinctly surf-oriented, back-foot-driven feel. Sharp rails and a pinched nose provide grip through powerful sections, while the optimized HD Foam Flex Composite construction delivers the flex and comfort of a traditional surfboard with reinforcement for the increased loads of kitesurfing.

Why Choose the KEAHI PRO?

Pure Surfing Performance

The KEAHI PRO is shaped as a genuine performance surfboard rather than a freestyle board adapted for waves. Choose it when carving, rail engagement, control and flow on the wave matter more than strapless aerial performance.

Control in Critical Sections

Sharp rails increase grip on the wave face, while the pinched nose helps the board move through hollow, powerful sections. This combination gives experienced wave riders the confidence to commit to tighter and more aggressive turns.

Drive Without Losing Maneuverability

Volume is concentrated toward the rear and tail to provide stability, planing ability and drive under the back foot. The wide squash tail remains responsive, allowing the board to pivot quickly and transition naturally from one turn to the next.

Versatile Wave Range

F-ONE designed the KEAHI PRO for big or small waves and both onshore and sideshore conditions. Its strongest program is reef-wave riding, but its planing efficiency and maneuverability also make it effective when the waves are less powerful.

Windance recommendation: Choose the KEAHI PRO if you are an intermediate to expert directional rider who wants a durable, performance-focused kite surfboard for carving, down-the-line riding and critical wave sections. It is not designed as a strapless freestyle or Big Air board.

How the KEAHI PRO Rides

Outline

The traditional surf outline combines an elongated nose with a relatively wide squash tail. This shape balances speed, control and maneuverability while retaining the familiar feel of a high-performance surfboard.

Rocker and Speed

A tight rocker and performance-oriented bottom shape help the board develop speed and projection. It carries momentum smoothly through long carves while remaining responsive enough for quick top turns.

Rail Grip

Sharp rails provide secure grip when the wave becomes steep or powerful. The board can hold a precise line through fast sections without losing its ability to release and redirect at the top of the wave.

Turning Style

The KEAHI PRO responds strongly to back-foot pressure. It can draw long, fluid carves but also pivots quickly for snappy direction changes and aggressive turns in more critical sections.

Stability and Planing

Rear-focused volume and the wide tail provide stability and efficient planing without making the board feel oversized. This helps it maintain speed through weaker sections and stay controllable when wave energy increases.

Wave Entry

The narrow, pinched nose helps the board pass through incoming waves when returning to the peak. Once on the wave, it supports fast transitions between bottom turns, top turns and tighter lines through the pocket.

HD Foam Flex Construction

Surfboard Flex and Feedback

F-ONE’s HD Foam Flex Composite uses high-density foam with optimized flex to produce the responsive, connected feel of a traditional surfboard. The construction is tuned for comfort, maneuverability and reliable performance under kiteboarding loads.

Reinforced for Kitesurfing

The KEAHI PRO combines its surf-oriented shape and flex with additional strength for the higher forces generated during kitesurfing. This makes it a more practical daily wave board than a lightly built conventional surfboard.

Heel Shock Absorber

The deck is recessed by 5mm beneath a broad section of the front-foot area to accommodate an EVA shock-absorbing foam layer. This layer absorbs impacts for greater comfort while also improving board durability.

Balanced Weight

The HD Foam Flex construction keeps the board light and responsive while prioritizing the strength and accessibility needed for regular kite-wave sessions. Official indicative weights range from 3.1kg to 3.5kg.

F-ONE Performance Program

Reef Waves

The KEAHI PRO’s highest-rated program. Its rail grip, drive and control are designed for fast, powerful and critical wave sections.

Onshore Waves

Efficient planing, quick pivots and the ability to carry speed help the board perform when waves are less organized or powerful.

Freeride

The stable tail and smooth, controllable ride support directional freeriding, although the board remains firmly focused on wave performance.

Freestyle and Big Air

This is not the F-ONE board for strapless freestyle or aerial progression. Choose the MITU PRO FLEX, MITU PRO CARBON or MAGNET CARBON for a stronger freestyle focus.

Frequently Asked Questions

What type of rider is the KEAHI PRO designed for?

It is designed for directional kiteboarders who prioritize surfing performance. Its combination of grip, speed and back-foot control is especially well suited to intermediate through expert wave riders.

Is the KEAHI PRO suitable for onshore waves?

Yes. F-ONE rates it at 80% for onshore waves and 100% for reef waves. The rear-focused volume, planing ability and responsive tail help it remain effective across different wave types.

Is it a good strapless freestyle board?

No. F-ONE gives the KEAHI PRO a 0% Freestyle and Big Air rating. Its outline, rails and flex are dedicated to surfing. Consider the MITU PRO FLEX for wave and freestyle versatility or the MAGNET CARBON for dedicated strapless freestyle.

How is it different from the KEAHI PRO SURF?

Both use the same dimensions, volumes and dedicated surf shape. The KEAHI PRO uses HD Foam Flex Composite for a strong, comfortable and accessible kite-specific build. The KEAHI PRO SURF uses a lighter Pro Surf Construction for riders prioritizing minimum weight and pure surf response.

Why does the board have a wide squash tail?

The tail works with the rear-focused volume to provide planing ability, stability and drive. It also supports quick pivots and smooth transitions between turns.
