Build a performance parawing and freefly setup around the maneuverable 2026 F-One ROCKET FREE SURF and North’s efficient Sonar High Aspect foil platform. The board combines takeoff glide with low swing weight and balanced turning response, while the CF85 carbon mast, C700 carbon fuselage and HA V2 front wing create a stiff, direct connection with the speed to link swell and carry momentum. A correctly matched S208 Speed V2 stabilizer and waist board leash complete the package.
Best for: intermediate and advanced foilers who prioritize speed, glide, pumping efficiency and surf-oriented board response. This is not a first-time learn-to-foil package: the narrow FREE SURF and higher stall speed of the HA front wings reward reliable takeoff technique and active speed control.
The FREE SURF’s tapered outline, reduced thickness and balanced foot pressure keep swing weight low and help the board stay clear during committed foil turns.
The HA V2’s wide span, short chord and thin carbon profile reduce drag, retain speed and help connect bumps with less pumping input once the foil is moving.
Both available HA front wings are paired with the fixed S208 Speed V2 stabilizer for the intended balance of low drag, front-foot support and pitch control.
The pre-preg CF85 mast, GeoLock connection and C700 carbon fuselage reduce swing weight and deliver immediate feedback while pumping, carving and controlling ride height.

Not included: parawing or handheld wing, foil-to-board mounting screws and track nuts, boardbag, helmet, personal flotation or impact vest, communication and visibility equipment.
Both HA front-wing options in this package use the S208 Speed V2 stabilizer. It is fixed in the bundle, so the rider only needs to choose between the HA1050 and HA1150.

No stabilizer selection is required: the S208 is fixed for both HA1050 and HA1150 configurations.
The North Sonar Carbon Foil Edition is supplied as a fixed lower assembly with an S270 stabilizer already included. The S270 cannot be removed from that product, but it is not the primary performance tail selected for the HA1050 and HA1150 front wings in this package.
The additional fixed S208 Speed V2 stabilizer gives either available HA wing the lower drag and size-appropriate pitch balance it is designed around. The S270 remains a useful, more supportive alternate tail for experimenting with a different ride feel, pairing with another Sonar front wing or keeping as a spare.
You will receive both stabilizers intentionally: the S270 packed with the Carbon Foil Edition and the fixed S208 for your HA setup.
The FREE SURF is built for riders who want a downwind-capable board that feels compact and maneuverable once airborne. Its straight rocker and elongated outline help create takeoff speed, while the tapered nose and tail, beveled rails and balanced foot pressure support responsive turning after lift-off.
The Sonar HA V2 complements that character with efficient acceleration, long glide and strong speed retention. Instead of pairing a surf-oriented board with an oversized, drag-heavy tail, this package adds the smaller Speed V2 stabilizer required to keep the foil fast, direct and properly balanced for the selected front-wing size.
Choose this package when surf response, speed and efficient connection between bumps are the priorities. Choose a FREE DW board with a Sonar DW foil when more stable starts, lower-speed glide and open-ocean downwind efficiency matter more than tight carving response.
All three package sizes use F-One’s Bamboo Deck Construction and include an installed traction pad, integrated carry handle and adjustable 90mm Twin-Tracks foil mount. Select enough volume for your weight, balance and starting conditions without giving up the responsive character you want after takeoff.

Even the 85L remains a narrow performance board rather than a wide first-time beginner platform. Choose by rider weight, balance, foil level, water state and front-wing size—not volume alone.
Both package options stay within the intended 800–1200cm² performance range. The HA1050 favors a faster, more responsive feel, while the HA1150 adds lift, pumping support and glide through softer swell.

The FREE SURF uses industry-standard 90mm Twin-Tracks, and the Sonar CF85 mast plate uses a compatible 165 × 90mm four-bolt pattern. The components are designed to mount together, with track adjustment available for tuning foil position and rider balance.
Mounting hardware is not included: obtain the correct foil-to-board screws and track nuts before assembly. Use hardware compatible with the North mast plate, the F-One tracks and the required thread engagement, and follow the manufacturers’ assembly and torque instructions.
