Foil Drive Assist MAX+ Complete Kit with High Power Motor
MAX+ unit, FM+ 650 battery and High Power V2 motor in one kit for your compatible foil setup.
This kit combines the Assist MAX+ No Motor base kit (FD400) with the Retro-fit High Power Motor Kit (FD333). The base kit supplies the MAX+ unit, one FM+ 650 battery, V3 Controller and 43V charger. The motor kit adds a High Power V2 motor, Universal Mini Pod, 20 cm removable cable and three-blade propeller setup for installation on a compatible foil mast.
Use the motor to help get onto foil for surf, flatwater, wake and assisted upwind sessions. Once riding, the removable retrofit mount lets you adapt motor placement as your board, mast or riding style changes. Your board, foil and mast are not included.

High Power Takeoffs
The High Power V2 motor and supplied three-blade propellers give you responsive assistance for starts, getting back upwind and reaching the next wave.
FM+ 650 Battery
The included 648Wh battery fits MAX+ directly. Its battery management system shares charge information with the V3 Controller and Foil Drive App.
Retrofit Your Mast
The low-profile Universal Mini Pod uses interchangeable straps to fit a range of mast profiles. Check the size and shape of your mast before ordering.
Adjustable Motor Height
Start with the included 20 cm removable cable. Other cable lengths are available separately if your setup or riding goals change.

- Three-blade hub, three standard propellers and their mounting bolts
- Neoprene motor protection cover
Bring your own board and foil. The foil mast, wings, fuselage and board are not included. Confirm that the Mini Pod and supplied straps fit your mast, and that your board and foil are suitable for your intended riding.
One battery is included. The FM+ 650 comes with the FD400 base kit in this bundle. MAX+ accepts it directly, so you do not need a separate FM+ Battery Adaptor.

About system ratings: The power and thrust figures are Foil Drive's FD400 ratings for a configured MAX+ system. Actual performance and ride time depend on rider weight, battery charge, motor placement, propellers, board, foil and conditions. Foil Drive's listed minimum installation weight is based on an integrated-mast motor configuration, so it is not the weight of this retrofit bundle.
Fit and Compatibility
- Battery: The included FM+ 650 fits Assist MAX+ directly. Older Gen2 Assist MAX batteries and 40V chargers are not interchangeable with the MAX+ system.
- Mast: The Universal Mini Pod is designed for a wide range of foil masts; actual fit depends on your mast profile and the supplied strap sizes.
- Motor placement: The motor kit includes a 20 cm removable cable. Different cable lengths are separate purchases.
- Dedicated e-foiling: Foil Drive recommends a longer 60 cm or 70 cm cable, sold separately, for that use.

Does this kit include a motor and battery?
Yes. The FD400 base kit includes one FM+ 650 battery, and the FD333 motor kit adds a High Power V2 motor, Mini Pod, cable and three-blade propeller setup.
Do I need the FM+ Battery Adaptor?
No. The FM+ 650 battery fits Assist MAX+ directly. The FM+ Battery Adaptor is for using an FM+ battery with Foil Drive Fusion.
Does this include a foil board or mast?
No. The bundle supplies the Foil Drive power system and retrofit motor parts. You need your own compatible board, foil and mast.
Will the Mini Pod fit my foil mast?
It fits a range of mast profiles using the supplied straps, but fit should be checked against your specific mast before ordering.
Can I use a Gen2 Assist MAX battery with this kit?
No. Assist MAX+ uses the Gen2.5 43V battery platform. The included FM+ 650 battery is the correct match for this system.
