North’s D-Rib canopy support keeps the Ranger stable through changes in power while reducing the amount of bridle required. A lightweight carbon control bar provides intuitive steering, and the accessible Depower Tab helps collapse the canopy when powered. When you come off foil, simply redeploy the Ranger and continue your run.

What Is a Parawing?
A parawing is a compact wind-powered canopy controlled through short bridles and a bar. Unlike an inflatable wing, it has no leading-edge bladder or center strut. Once the rider is on foil, the canopy can be collapsed and stored so both hands are free for unrestricted swell riding.
The Ranger combines the wind-powered launch and upwind capability of a small kite with an on-water pack-away system designed for downwind foiling. It is especially useful for riders who want access to downwind runs without relying entirely on paddle technique.

Construction and Performance
40GSM Single-Skin Canopy
Lightweight 40GSM fabric balances low packed volume with the durability needed for repeated deployment, retrieval and on-water storage.
North D-Rib Technology
Diagonal internal ribs support the canopy and distribute load through the sail. This reduces the number of bridles required while maintaining stability during depower.
Extra-Short Bridle
The shortened bridle makes deployment and retrieval easier while reducing the amount of line that must be managed when packing the Ranger away.
Carbon Control Bar

Carbon Bar and Depower System
The Ranger uses an included lightweight carbon control bar rather than wing handles or a boom. Steering input is transferred through the short bridle to the single-skin canopy.
