The North XL Beginner Wing Foil Package pairs the 2026 Nova wing with a Seek Prime 168L learning board and a Sonar MA2100v2 Prime front wing. Choose an AF72 or AF85 aluminum mast to suit your location and riding. The North Kite & Wing Pump is included for inflation. This setup emphasizes a supportive board platform, controllable lift and comfortable wing handling for riders beginning their foil journey.
Required separately: A compatible harness attachment for the Mystic Dyneema board leash. A harness and waist belt are not included in this package.
The Seek Prime combines generous volume and width with a longer waterline. It provides a supportive platform for kneeling, standing and building board speed while you learn to manage the wing.
EcoLite Softskin construction uses bamboo reinforcement inside a rigid board, with soft EVA covering the deck and rails. The padded surface is useful through the repeated starts and climbs that come with learning.
The MA2100v2 Prime is designed for novice wing foiling, prioritizing accessible lift, pitch stability and a low stall speed. Its 2100cm² area provides a substantial foil platform for developing controlled flights.
The Nova offers balanced freeride handling and intuitive forward drive. Its preinstalled GripLock Carbon Boom lets you adjust your hand positions without needing to buy or fit a separate handle set.
What XL means here: Extra board flotation and a large front foil wing. Your weight, technique and local wind still determine whether a 4.2 or 4.8m² handheld wing provides enough power.

One of each listed product is included. Choose your Nova color, wing size and Sonar mast option. The board and front foil wing are fixed in this package. Swipe tables sideways on smaller screens.
The foil comes from two component products: The Sonar Foil Edition supplies the mast assembly, fuselage, stabilizer, assembly hardware, tool kit and travel bag. The separate MA Prime front wing completes the foil. The Seek Prime supplies four M8 × 30mm board mounting screws and four T-nuts.

North lists the 168L Seek Prime for novice riders over 85kg / 187lb. This is guidance for the board, not a guaranteed rider-weight range for the entire package.
The board is rigid, not inflatable. Its 165 × 90mm DropBox tracks accept the Sonar AF board adaptor. Footstrap inserts are built in, but footstraps and a board bag are not included.

Check water depth first. Mast length is not the minimum safe water depth. Allow clearance for the entire foil, changing water levels and submerged hazards, and follow your instructor’s guidance.
Both options include the 700mm A700 aluminum fuselage and S270 carbon stabilizer. This package uses the AF72/AF85 Sonar Foil Edition, not the AF80 Sonar Prime complete edition.
The Nova’s N-Dure Dacron frame, N-RS3 canopy and internal Carbon UDi reinforcement support comfortable freeride control. Choosing enough handheld wing area remains essential, even with a large board and foil.

These are manufacturer guidelines, not beginner wind limits or guaranteed takeoff thresholds. Larger riders may need more wind or a larger wing than this package offers. Ask Windance to check the full combination against your weight and usual conditions.
The included Nova wrist leash connects you to the wing. It does not replace the board leash or its required harness attachment.
No. A lighter learner may also prefer the extra flotation. The tradeoff is a larger board to carry and manage. The full setup should still be selected for the rider, wind and water conditions.
No. Seek Prime is a rigid beginner board with bamboo-reinforced EcoLite construction and a soft EVA exterior. Its priorities are learning comfort, flotation and durability.
No. Both selected Nova sizes include the 1100mm GripLock Carbon Boom and a wrist wing leash. The North Kite & Wing Pump is also included. You still need a compatible harness attachment for the Dyneema board leash.
The standalone Foil Edition does not. This package adds the MA2100v2 Prime front wing as a separate component, so the foil assembly includes its front and rear wings.
