This bundle combines one Foil Drive Assist MAX+ Base Kit (FD400) with one direct-fit FM+ 650 Battery (FD401). The Base Kit includes the MAX+ unit, V3 Controller, 43V charger and supplied accessories. The battery is included as a separate bundle component.
A motor is not included. Before riding, add a compatible motor, cable, propellers and mounting solution or integrated mast. If you already own Foil Drive motor components, check their exact generation and connections with Windance before ordering.

Bundle clarification: The FM+ 650 is included here as a separate FD401 bundle component; it is not included inside the FD400 Base Kit. If you want the Base Kit, battery and High Power retrofit motor together, choose the Assist MAX+ Complete Kit.

About thrust ratings: Foil Drive lists up to 35.5 kg maximum thrust for a specified, fully configured MAX+ system with a High Power motor. This bundle includes the Base Kit and battery but cannot produce thrust until a compatible motor setup is added. Actual performance depends on the finished configuration.
Battery and Motor Compatibility
- Assist MAX+: the bundled FM+ 650 installs directly; no battery adaptor is required.
- Foil Drive Fusion: if this battery is later used with Fusion, it requires the correct FM+ Battery Adaptor.
- Gen2 Assist MAX: its 40V batteries and chargers are not interchangeable with the 43.2V MAX+ system.
- Fusion 860: this battery does not fit MAX+.
Before ordering: Check your mast brand, board, foil, motor generation and cable length. An existing motor may require different mounting or cable components. Windance can help verify the complete configuration before you buy.

Does this MAX+ and FM+ 650 bundle include a motor?
No. This bundle includes the FD400 Base Kit and FD401 FM+ 650 battery only. Add a compatible motor, cable, propellers and suitable mounting solution or integrated mast before using the system on the water.
Is the FM+ 650 battery included?
Yes. One direct-fit FM+ 650 battery with 648Wh of capacity and its carry case are included as a separate FD401 bundle component.
Is this bundle ready to ride?
No. The bundle supplies the MAX+ Base Kit and battery. You still need a compatible motor configuration plus your own suitable board, foil and mast.
Can I use my original Assist MAX battery or charger?
No. The Gen2 Assist MAX uses a 40V system. MAX+ uses 43.2V Gen2.5 batteries and charging hardware. This bundle includes the compatible FM+ 650 battery and 43V charger.
Can I use a motor I already own?
Possibly, depending on the exact motor, cable and mounting components. Send Windance your existing component names or photos so we can check compatibility before you order.
Is 35.5 kg of thrust available with this kit as sold?
No. That manufacturer rating applies to a specified complete MAX+ setup with a High Power motor. This bundle does not include a motor.
